i made a trip to bade-baden two week ago. i went there to see the horseracetrack. at this weekend there was an open-farmers-race-event and i saw a young lagafellistalion running against other ponies. poor guy, he lost because he was jumping all the time XD

Hi,hi, Saeunn, yes, we are back from Norway. It was a great trip and we had absolutly best weather.The men were fishing every day and I often was with them because it was so nice on the fjord.
We are back since Wednesday and here also we have fine weather. Solveig told me, that on Iceland there is much rain and storm... really shit ! I hope, you had a nice time with Solveig and she could help a lot and learn many things about farming.
I visited a bio farm in Norway which was working with a milking roboter... I thought , that might be a great help for you , too .
I hope, you all are fine, nobody ill... and you get used to your "boring children with Halldors gens in them ".. ha,ha,ha !

I wrote on my blogg a little bit I know about Icelandic law about importing ridingclothes to Iceland -
I have everything you need here for riding -
exsept if you need to ride in a ridingtrous.
BUT PERHAPS THIS IS THE TIME TO BUY NEW ONEs if you can!?
THAT IS IF THE OLD ONES HAVE LEATHER ON THEM!? I do not know?
But you are heading for a time when it is very needed to ride in something to protect you from cold weather and "kuldagalli" is a word you have to learn - for when it is cold in Iceland most people ride in Kuldagalli!
THIS I HAVE!
If you need something "there are also stores in Iceland!!!"

Hlédís foal is the best one off those 3
you talk about - but she is ONLY JARPUR
I do not know wich foal off Snær is best yet - they are all a little bit too "much body" on my opinion -
BUT I CAME HOME AFTER THE PERIOUD WHEN IT IS BEST TO HAVE A LOOK FOR THEM FOR I WAS WITH YOU - and then I AM WAITING TILL LITTLE LATER IN THIS YEAR FOR A SECOUND LOOK!
It is hard to tell when they are taking their foalhair off - wich is the best Snæroffspring -
FLUGA AND STRÁKALÝSAFOALS ARE ALWAYS SOLD FIRST and STRÁKALÝSA HAS A DOTTER IN SWISS that everyone is in love with - soo ...
Hlédís foal uses brokk mostly, but show´s tölt. The other two have all gait´s and use tölt VERY MUCH - and sometimes do pigpase too - ...like their father!

Hae,hae, Saeunn, I just read you blogg and your mail! The picture make sure, that Solvi is happy at Lagafell, and so she told me..
When ever you put new picture in myndaalbum, I wish I would be back at yours !Uwe put our picture also in the PC, but we did not sent it until now, because of your technical probem with you computer !
And Solvi is invited to your Mum's summerhouse... in the north ? Where is it ?So she will see a lot of Iceland... she even had been to the highlands ! I thing, we have to come back next year, and rent a Jeep or monstercar and do the way from Akuery to Lagafelli... we by car and Soli on horseback ?
Well, we will see.But I love plans and dreams... may be something will come true..
After some very hot days -more than32°C -it startet to rain today... we are qiet happy about that...our second cut of hay is inside..so why not rain ?
Uwe and Robert were out for fishing...but they caught... nothing... Viva Iceland ! Thoose were pretty good days, not only for fishermen !
Tomorrow the horseshoemaker will come, and than I will start riding again.Next time, I would also try to go on "Alpha"...or an other friendly horse!
But now, it is time to say good night...tomorrow I shall be in my office at 7 o'clock , your milking time !

Nothing is working since my computure was at the computure doctor!
There is no WORD, no EXEL - no connection to the OUTLOOK EX. so all my connection´s are gone - There is no way on working on it but through Mozilla Firefox - and that is not even MY virus protecion - I pay about 8000 isl/kr for protection from FRISK - ...;-((( I am very unhappy about all this ... But nice to hear from you again

WE WILL STOP AND SLEEP IN MY MUM's HOUSE in THE MIDDLE OFF THE WAY TO LÁGAFELLI - (it is better way off travelling!) -

The time run away, so there are only 12 days at home now before i come to your farm! so I want to ask you something: is it ok for you to get me at the flybus station in reykjavik at 14. August at 3.00 pm? or what is the best time for you?
Is there an option to call to germany?or is it better to take a mobile phone with me?

Hae, saeunn, was nice to read your new blogg... hope, you will get everything managed in the next weeks ... with low cost I hope.
We have been out in the fields today... 30° in the shadow made us sunburnt too...puh ..
We have already the picture from our stay at Lagafelli and start to put them in the PC. When your PC is working again, we can send them over he ocean !
Time for supper.. for the rest ofmy family... only 3 people left ! One is working as a "slave" at Lagafelli and one is gone to his parents for this weekend...I have to admit, that I prefare big families !

I owned Amor fra Lagafelli and had to lay him down in March because of an intestine catch. I loved him, he was a wonderful horse. I think you still have his daughte Brunstjarna. When will she have her foal. I would love to see pictures of it.

ég var að hugsa til ykkar allan gærdaginn (smá heimþrá...) og kíkdi á heimasíðuna, bara til að forvítnast! Gott að vita að allt sé í góðu hjá ykkur! Er að klára ferðalaginu mínu, núna biður skálavarðastarf handa mér á norðureyjanum hérna á Nýja Sjálandi! Hlakka til að sjá hvernig það er hérlendis, en sennilega ekki svo mismunandi... Mikið af túristum, alltaf sömu spurningar og fallegt landslag! Skal segja meira frá þegar ég er komin í vinnu!

Hæ bara svona að láta vita hvernig ghengur með tryppin sem ég keypti hjá þér undan anganóru, kolku og einni í viðbót en man ómögulega hvað hún heitir.
písl sem er undan þeirri sem ég man ekki hvað heitir er orðin litförótt (ljósmoldótt litförótt) og vona ég að það endist :)
klárinn sen er undan kolku (gjafar) er allveg vel hægt að stefna á í kepnir með og vaona að það gangi eftir hann er svo ST'OR!!! hann stendur uppúr í haganum:)
og svo merin undan anganóru (aría) er orðin baramjög gæf en passa það að það er ekki vaðið yfir sig en lovar sammt góðu:)
