• Only 50 earthquakes were recorded since midnight, but strong winds are reducing the sensitivity of measuring systems to seismic activity.
• The Met Office's website states that it may be difficult to assess whether earthquake activity is actually decreasing.
• 78 residents of Grindavík will return briefly today, all previously contacted.
• Business representatives can enter from 3pm.
• Lilja Dögg Alfreðsdóttir, Minister of Culture and Tourism, regrets that media access to the danger zone at Grindavík has been reduced.
• Finance Minister Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir says that talks are still ongoing with banks about the mortgage payments of Grindavík residents.
• Rescue teams from Borgarnes to Kirkjubæjarklaustur have been working in the area since Grindavík was evacuated.
• Red dots seen recently in drone footage of Grindavík were the results of a technical glitch with the video - not evidence of any eruption.
